Né en France à Saumur, HOOK’N BRAVE de son vrai nom Hervé LUMINEAU, se passionne très vite pour la musique et étudie le piano et le chant dès l’age de sept ans. Après quelques années de musique classique, il se dirige vers la Pop.
Interprétant les plus grands succès français et internationaux. Il fait ses débuts en se produisant dans des spectacles et des scènes ouvertes de sa région.
Animateur sur la radio locale pendant plusieurs années, il découvre des artistes qui l’influenceront musicalement « George Michael, Charly Puth, U2, Coldplay. Il y apprend également la technique du son de l’enregistrement audio, de la Mao et le contact avec le public. Epaulé par un ami de longue date Olivier Louvet, devenu Animateur sur Radio Nostalgie à Paris.
Il enregistre en 1991 au studio Haxo à Paris via une société d’édition son premier titre « Time For Love » qui figure sur le CD « Le Top de l’Espoir’ sa chanson sera présentée au MIDEM à Cannes en 1993 et connaitra un certain succès sur les ondes des radios locales. Il auto- produit ensuite son Premier EP « Variance » en 1995 et le sort à 1000 exemplaires.
Après plusieurs casting à Paris et en Belgique, X Factor, Pop Star, La Nouvelle Star… Il rencontre plusieurs producteurs avec lesquels il collabore dont « Michel Nachtergaele & Bruno Van Garsse (Soirée Disco « Boris » , Phénoménal Club) et Xavier Decanter Aka « Tom Snare » Musicien et Producteur ainsi il signe son premier contrat d’artiste et sort son single « Ophélie ».
Quelques années plus tard, il rencontre au théâtre du Temple à Paris, Laura Marciano, Productrice et Auteure de chansons pour TAL, LAAM et Mylène Farmer à ses débuts, puis David Kemoun et Manuel Thorres de chez RKG Records, Connu pour le Tube « Daddy DJ » et « Just a Man » mais également Jean Lahcene Producteur de renom (Proche des Collectifs Métissés, Bonnie Tyler devenu un ami et également Michel Rostaing (Producteur et Songwriter d’Eve Angeli)…
Mais c’est en se produisant sur scène comme chanteur Lead et Choriste pendant une vingtaine d’années à travers la France au sein de deux grosses formations Musicales Pro et sous la forme d’un Duo Musical qu’il gagne sa vie et apprends le métier.
Il collabore depuis des années, avec son frère de Coeur, le musicien et talentueux Producteur Auteur Compositeur Jean Yves Ducornet plus connu sous le nom de Jeeve. Songwriter de renom installé à Los Angeles qui a travaillé avec Paulina Rubio « Casanova », Carlos SANTANA « Hoy es Adios », LINA, 2 PAC, Bruno MARS et Philippe Lawrence, Matt POKORA, Luis FONSI, David BISBAL, Britney Spears, James Arthur et Scooter Braun « Ariana Grande, The Week’nd » et la chanteuse Pixie Lott…)
En Octobre 2025, sous son Label 2 HL Publishing & Records en Auto-production et soutenu par Jeeve et Where’s my cut Productions, Il sort son Nouvel EP « The Sound Of My Life », Il est constitué de 5 titres aux sonorités Pop, Disco et Electro, qu’il souhaite faire découvrir au plus grand nombre…
Born in Saumur, France, HOOK’N BRAVE—whose real name is Hervé Lumineau—developed a passion for music early on, studying piano and voice from the age of seven. After several years of classical training, he shifted his focus to pop music.
He began his career performing major French and international hits at local shows and open-mic events.
During his years as a local radio host, he discovered artists who would shape his musical style—such as George Michael, Charlie Puth, U2, and Coldplay—while also mastering audio recording techniques, computer-based music production (DAW), and audience engagement. He was supported in this journey by a longtime friend, Olivier Louvet, who went on to become a host at Radio Nostalgie in Paris.
In 1991, he recorded his first track, « Time For Love, » at Studio Haxo in Paris through a publishing company; the song appeared on the *Le Top de l’Espoir* CD, was showcased at MIDEM in Cannes in 1993, and enjoyed some success on local radio stations. He subsequently self-produced his debut EP, *Variance*, in 1995, releasing a limited run of 1,000 copies.
After auditioning for several shows in Paris and Belgium—including *X Factor*, *Popstars*, and *Nouvelle Star*—he met and collaborated with various producers, such as Michel Nachtergaele & Bruno Van Garsse (known for the « Boris » disco track and Phénoménal Club) and musician-producer Xavier Decanter (aka « Tom Snare »). He then signed his first artist contract and released the single « Ophélie. »
A few years later, at the Théâtre du Temple in Paris, he met Laura Marciano—a producer and songwriter who had worked with Tal, Lââm, and Mylène Farmer early in their careers—as well as David Kemoun and Manuel Thorres of RKG Records (known for the hits « Daddy DJ » and « Just a Man »). He also met renowned producer Jean Lahcene (associated with Collectif Métissé and Bonnie Tyler, and who became a friend) and Michel Rostaing (producer and songwriter for Eve Angeli)…
However, it was by performing on stage as both a lead and backing vocalist for some twenty years across France—working with two major professional bands and as part of a musical duo—that he earned his living and mastered his craft.
For years, he has collaborated with his close friend and musical soulmate—the talented musician, producer, and songwriter Jean-Yves Ducornet, better known as Jeeve. Based in Los Angeles, Jeeve is a renowned songwriter who has worked with artists such as Paulina Rubio (« Casanova »), Carlos Santana (« Hoy es Adios »), Lina, 2Pac, Bruno Mars and Philip Lawrence, Matt Pokora, Luis Fonsi, David Bisbal, Britney Spears, James Arthur, Scooter Braun (Ariana Grande, The Weeknd), and Pixie Lott.
In October 2025, he is releasing his new EP, *The Sound of My Life*, as an independent project under his own label, 2 HL Publishing & Records, with the support of Jeeve and Where’s My Cut Productions. The EP features five tracks blending Pop, Disco, and Electro sounds—music he hopes to share with the widest possible audience.
